The Motherland

Most of our aunts will say that Jeff went crazy (fa feng la) and went to Beijing and Shanghai for the week. But personally I welcomed and appreciated the visit. China is a little lonely. Yao is slightly less crazy because his stay will be for 2 weeks. China is erm.. China, the land of shamelessness and ghettoness. We had black boogers while in Beijing, stole taxi cabs away from locals, hovered for seats at a crowded resturant, and risked our lives to buy fake goods(not really, but we went to the 4th floor of an abandoned shopping center). We had a fabulous time. Yao has most of the pictures, because he has the smancy camera.

By the way, we are all new aunties and uncles. Francis just had a baby boy last week.

How did you steal taxi cabs from locals? Is it intense competition for transportation? Do the taxi drivers like foreigners more because they tip more? Do you even tip?!
